VG Trees - Volunteer!

April 22, 2020 8:43 PM | Deleted user

Dear Neighbors,

The Village Green Grounds Committee is planning to fertilize HOA trees and some evergreens on Wyman this spring.  In the past, we've paid a tree service to fertilize the trees for us.  This year, we plan to fertilize the trees ourselves thus saving significant costs while still doing a great job.  The savings may fund other potential neighborhood landscaping and tree replacement needs.

Volunteers Needed!!

What >> Would you like to join us and help fertilize our trees and evergreens?  We'll show you what to do (while practicing social distancing) and provide the supplies.  Each item will need up to 4 fertilizer spikes - inserting the spike is an easy task but takes some tapping to push into the soil.  Fertilizing one tree or evergreen should take about 10 minutes.

You can volunteer to fertilize trees near your home or donate an hour or two of your time to main areas and side streets that need help along Drowne, Wyman or Bradbury.

When>> Our target dates to fertilize are the first and second weekends in May. You may see other neighbors from a safe distance on the parkways those weekends.

Responses >> Please contact Beth Hemenway at BHemenway@Phoenixmanagementcompany.com to volunteer and learn more.

Please respond in the next 5 days if possible (April 27)  so that we can finalize our plans.    Thank you for your help!

Thank you to everyone who volunteered! We had some beautiful weather for working in the neighborhood - and got the job done.
